Yolanda Stone

On May 20, 2012, a beautiful person was taken from us far too soon. On February 15, 2012, at the age of 30, Yolanda Stone was shot 7 times by the father of her three children. Her life was cut short because Yolanda was a victim of abuse and domestic violence. For 3 months, our angel held on, fighting hard to overcome her injuries and see her babies again. She passed away peacefully on May 20, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. She leaves behind family who love and miss her deeply, friends who feel her absence every single day, children who need her motherly love and a host of other loved ones who still can't believe someone would be so cruel to take the life of someone whose smile could light up the room. This website is in dedication to her life and memory in hopes that someone will read her story and overcome domestic abuse.

2007 Criminal Complaint Against Reynard Cook - Information About Naccarto Gladden

I would like to extend a very special thank you to Officer Sunderland, Officer Snyder and Sergeant Albright for arresting and ultimately capturing the man who took my sister's life. I would also like to thank Chief Petrick for his ongoing support at this difficult time. I have prayed every single day for this day to come. So many times, I have thought about the day when I would get the phone call that he has been captured, but words cannot express the relief, the renewal of hope and the gratefulness I felt the day I heard those words, exactly 1 year after her death. It has been unimaginably hard to go through a whole year wondering if the person who took my sister's life was right under our noses or somewhere far away enjoying his life to the fullest, while her family, friends and children are suffering everyday, missing Yolanda tremendously and trying to pick up the pieces of what's left.

So on behalf of my entire family, all of Yolanda's friends and especially the children she left behind, WE THANK YOU SO MUCH. We are so grateful that we can finally receive some form of closure (even though there will always be a void in our hearts). We can now begin receiving justice that we have been waiting so patiently for. Police officers are always humble about the service they provide to the community, but for me and Yolanda's children, it is a huge service that brought us a day that couldn't come fast enough. You didn't just help Yolanda find the justice she deserves, but you have helped hundreds of her friends and family finally start their healing process and you have helped Yolanda's kids move forward with their lives.

Remembering Yolanda StoneToday marks the one year anniversary of Yolanda's death and thankfully today we have received the news that Reynard Cook has been caught! As details emerge, we will post to this website. Thank you everyone for your prayers. A one year memorial service was held in her honor yesterday to commemorate her life. We thank all of the family and friends who came to the memorial and showing your support for her.

Yolanda, we want you to know that we have not and will NEVER forget you. Yesterday so many people came out to remember you and it only proves that you are still loved by so many people. God heard our cries and the sorrow of those who love you and he answered our prayer today. Most of us are feeling the bittersweet feelings of happiness that your perpetrator has been caught, but also sadness that this small justice will never bring you back or correct the injustice he brought to you. We love and miss you Yolanda and will continue to fight for you because we know you fought all the way until the very end. MAKE NO MISTAKE, ALL the people who supported the ignorance and sociopathic behavior of Reynard Cook, will be held fully accountable in this life and the next. Rest in Peace Yolanda. We love you.

Today marks the one year anniversary of your tragedy. We just want you to know that we miss you and we love you. Regardless of what people think or what people say, we know that what happened to you was not deserved and that all of those who are responsible and those who support the person who took your life will be held accountable on earth and in heaven. Your light was too bright for them and they tried to dim it, but they never will. Light always casts out darkness, not the other way around. It's only a matter of time before justice will be served. And we will wait patiently on the Lord until the time comes. R.I.P Love.
